Green smoothie

A delicious smoothie high in fibre and providing protein, good fats and plenty of energy. Green juices and smoothies help us detoxify and alkalise our body. Avocados contain a wide variety of nutrients, including 20 different vitamins and minerals. The oleic acid in avocados can help reduce cholesterol levels. It is also a great fruit for a healthy brain and skin. Kale, part of the brassica family, deserve its reputation of “super green”.

Recipe

Ingredients for 2 glasses

1 avocado
1 green apple (de-cored)

2 handful baby spinach or 2 kale leaves
2 tbsp hemp protein
4 cups coconut water
1 tbsp. coconut oil
2 tbsp. sunflower seeds                                                                                                                                 1 tsp. Maca powder (optional)

How to

Place all items in your blender until perfectly mixed. Pour into your glass and serve with ice immediately, or put in a sealed jar and drink within 24 hours.

Before drinking sprinkle with some cayenne pepper, hemp seeds and goji berries.
