Rite of the Womb

A Munay-Ki Rite to Heal and Empower the Feminine

Marcela Lobos, Alberto Villoldo’s wife, was the first to receive the Rite of the Womb from a lineage of women from the  Peruvian Amazon forest. The Rite of the Womb is part of the Munay ki evolutionary process. There are nine Rites of initiation and the Rite of the Womb is given separately. After receiving the initiation, Marcela was asked to transmit it to as many women as possible to heal them of the suffering they carry in their belly. Transmitting the Rite helps bring healing to all men, women and all of life. Rite of the wombThe Wisdom of the Rite The Rite of the Womb (the 13th Rite of the Munay-Ki) is a profound energetic transmission birthed from the collective wisdom of the medicine women of the Amazon. For generations, the Shipibo and Andean lineages have carried this blessing to remind us of a fundamental truth: The womb is not a place to store fear and pain; the womb is to create and give birth to life. When you receive this Rite, you are not just receiving a healing for yourself; you are joining a global lineage of women who are clearing ancestral trauma and reclaiming their power as creators. It is a gentle yet powerful seed of transformation that, once planted, continues to grow with your attention and care. This lineage of women wants us to remember:
The womb is not a place to store fear and pain; the womb is to create and give birth to life. Let’s heal our womb; let’s heal our mother’s, sister’s, and daughter’s wombs. And in this way bring healing to our Mother Earth.

I share the Rite of the Womb in group and individually. It is always an honour and deep joy to prepare for this ceremony. As we heal and empower ourselves, acknowledge the wounds of our mothers and grand mothers, forgive and receive forgiveness, we set ourself free of the pain we have been carrying.

“Christine opened her home as a wonderful safe space to connect and a chance to remember our natural ability as women to share, release and nurture.  The ceremony helped me re-ignite the creative and loving energy within.” Julie M.
Intergenerational trauma has been passed down the female lineage of my family over four generations.  As a mother to two beautiful teenage girls, my intention was to take the ‘Rite of the Womb’, to free myself from any further suffering, and to stop any fear/trauma/pain that I may be unconsciously transferring to my girls.  After sitting in a sacred circle of women and listening to their heartfelt stories with similar threads as mine, I feel empowered to now create a new story for my female lineage, which embraces joy, nurturing, compassion, creativity and peace for myself, my girls and their children. Beth McK.
When Christine advertised that she was holding a women’s circle for the Rite of the Womb, I did not hesitate to book my daughter and myself a spot. I had no expectations for the day, but was totally blown away by the beautiful souls I met and connected with, and how heartfelt, and caring Christine and the ladies were. We shared, we wept, we celebrated, and most of all we honoured and supported each other and for that I am eternally grateful. Thank you to all the beautiful souls who provided scrumptious food, and to Christine for opening your heart and home to all of us. I cannot wait to share the Rite of the womb with fellow women. Caron V.
Thank you so much for sharing your home and for the Rite of the Womb last Sunday. It was such a special experience and I still feel as though I am digesting events of the day. Tracey M.
