Embrace the energy of spring and manifest the new

Nature always shows us the way. Everything around us is bursting with new energy. Radishes, snow peas, young beetroots, strawberries are in season. How can we use this time to prepare to a new cycle? Spring cleaning is an annual ritual to clear out the dust and clutter that have accumulated in your home over the winter. Our bodies, mind and spirit also deserve some special care.

Have you ever thought about fasting? Many well know health practitioners have been advocating the benefits of fasting as a way to support the natural healing process of the body. Our ancestors were following nature’s rhythm. They were eating seasonal and local and following their cultural and religious traditions. The practice of fasting goes back thousands of years and is still an important part of many religious traditions.an invitation to go within, to reset the body, our thoughts and habits and

Fasting is defined as a partial or total abstention from all foods, or a select abstention from some foods. Fasting has been the subject of numerous scientific investigations and has been shown to help improve metabolism, and support the natural healing process of the body. It also offers us to slow down, be aware of our thoughts, emotions and connect deeper with our soul.

You might have heard about intermittent fasting? You skip breakfast and have your last meal at night, around six or seven o’clock, and you don’t eat again until noon the next day. This has shown to have a massive impact on increasing metabolism and increasing our ability to digest our food.

A great thing to do is a juice cleanse (check our Women Detox Retreat end of October) or you might choose a deeper detox if you have already fasted before. It is good to ask the advice of your doctor and/or being supported by a professional.

A colonic has also lots of beneficial effects. It encourages a whole body detox, better digestion, prevents constipation, helps have more energy…Check also Tyler Tolman 4 Day Colon Cleanse Protocol

Remember, when you break a fast, to make sure you take on a healthier lifestyle and take it slow. When you fast, everything kind of shuts down when it comes to digestion, so it needs to be a slow process of reintroducing foods and your metabolism will be higher ( Read Metabolism and fasting byTyler Tolman)

There are a wide variety of methods for cleansing your body. Choose yours. One of the simplest and single most important step you can take to help your body flush out toxins is to drink more pure alkaline water (Check Annsation water filter $30 Discount), eat plenty of raw organic vegetable and fruits (organic, seasonal), avoid process foods, meat, grains and dairies (the time of your detox) and spend more time outdoor.

A daily 30 minutes walk can have a big impact on your fitness and your mood.
