My Golden Latte Glow
Many coffee shops offer turmeric latte. Like chai, they are not always made fresh but too often prepared with a syrup. It’ s healthier and very satisfying to make your own and you can craft your favourite recipe.
How to make your Golden Latte? You can use fresh turmeric (best) or organic turmeric in powder. It’s easy to grow turmeric and, like me, if you have too much you can freeze it, or make your own powder (peel, slice, dehydrate and grind it)
-
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup of soy milk, hemp or coconut milk
- 1/4 cup water
- 1,5 Tbsp grated fresh or frozen turmeric or a tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp grated ginger root
- 1/4 tsp organic cinnamon powder
- A pinch of ground black pepper
- Cardamon a couple of pods or some Young Living Cardamon essential oil (toothpick method)
- If you like a bit of sweetness add a bit of raw honey or maple syrup
-
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, warm the soy milk and water
- Add the turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, cardamon
- Continue to whisk until fully combined and warm, but not boiling.
- If you use fresh turmeric and ginger use a strainer and pour into a cup.
- and sprinkle with cinnamon and black pepper
- Add if you wish some honey and enjoy!
